A class 11 allegedly shot herself with a revolver for being upset over not scoring good marks in her examinations. According to reports, the deceased, used her father’s revolver to end her life because of her poor performance in her XI exam. The results were announced on Sunday and reportedly, there is no suicide note found from the site of the action.

The girl allegedly committed suicide at her residence in Jind, Pillukhera town. As per a report on The Tribune, the girl’s father is the sarpanch of Jind's Siwah village. Apparently, when her father, left for work in the morning, the girl locked herself in the bathroom and shot herself with her father’s licensed revolver. The police have filed a case and further probe has started.

There has been an increase in students’ suicides lately, because of the extreme stress they undergo these day. Few weeks back, a class 9 student was found hanging inside her room in East Delhi by her parents after she allegedly failed in her examination. Her family has blamed her teachers and school for putting undue pressure on her. Similar incident took place last week, where a 12-year old girl who was studying in Class 8 at Michaels High School in Kurla West, Mumbai, allegedly committed suicide after she was caught cheating by the teacher during examination.
