Jashpur: 21 Students Selected for NIT & IIT From Tribal Villages, Students Thank District Administration For Support
What doubled the happiness for people of the state was when two youth were selected to study in Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)-Delhi.
Chhattisgarh, January 21: In what is believed to be a moment of pride, 21 students from Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh have been selected for National Institutes of Technology (NIT) & Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). What doubles the pride and happiness is that two youths have made it to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)-Delhi.
Priyanka Shukla Collector, Jashpur on Sunday thanked the District Mineral Fund Trust for giving an opportunity to the deserved candidates. “It is a matter of pride & example for future generations. Thankful to District Mineral Fund Trust, because of which we can support meritorious students”, Shukla said.
Deepak Kumar and Nitesh Painkra from tribal villages of Kudekela and Jargum, respectively, are students of IIT Delhi's textile department. Both the meritorious students say that their journey has been possible because of the help by district administration.
There are thousands of students from various tribal communities in India who seek to study and excel in the streams they are interested in. Students in the tribal regions are not able to complete education due to lack of building and infrastructure. The government is however, making efforts to provide aid to tribal students for preparation national level examinations and also for foreign education.
