Jammu & Kashmir: Ex-PDP Leader Ghulam Nabi Patel Shot Dead by Terrorists in Pulwama

Jammu, April 25: Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Ghulam Nabi Patel was killed after terrorists opened fired Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Ghulam Nabi Patel on Wednesday afternoon. As per reports by ANI, the incident took place in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday afternoon. The PDP leader was shot dead while he was coming to Pulwama from Yader.
As per recent tweets by ANI, the former PDP leader who was fired upon by terrorists in Pulwama's Rajpora, succumbs to his injuries. His two personal security officers also sustained injuries. Reports inform that terrorists fled with their service rifles. More details on the same are awaited.
A similar incident took place in April 2017 where militants shot dead the People’s Democratic Party district president for Pulwama, Abdul Gani Dar, in the South Kashmir district, police said.
Reports by PTI informed that Gani was shot at by the militants in Pinglena area of Pulwama district, 31 km from Srinagar, this afternoon, a police official said. Dar, an advocate by profession, was brought to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Reports inform that the PDP leader was shot at three times from a close range with an AK assault rifle, he said, adding two bullets hit him in the chest and one in the shoulder.
