Jabalpur: Eight dead, Four Injured After Truck Rams Into a House And Shop in Barela, Madhya Pradesh
Locals in Jabalpur torched a police vehicle in Barela after the deadly incident.
Jabalpur, February 21: At least eight people have been killed and four have been injured after a truck rammed into a house and a shop in Jabalpur's Barela town in Madhya Pradesh. The deadly incident occurred on the Jabalpur-Mandla road. As per reports by ANI, the locals torched a police vehicle in Jabalpur's Barela after the deadly incident.
As per reports by Police, a 16-wheel truck laden with iron rods rammed three houses at the Barela village, which is around 15 kms from Jabalpur district headquarters. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jabalpur, B S Chouhan, told PTI that the truck was coming from Chhattisgarh and it has caused heavy damaged.
On Tuesday, a five-year child identified as Anil was killed and two others injured in an accidental blast in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district. As per reports, the accident occurred in Lal Kheda village when the children, while playing near a well fiddled with a detonator lying there. Jaora station in-charge D.K. Dubey was quoted by IANS saying that one of the children connected the detonator to a wire that triggered the blast. The victim’s elder brother Balram and cousin Lakhan were injured and are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Earlier in February, one person was killed and 17 others injured when the tractor-trolley overturned near Beli village in the district. As per PTI reports, the victims were on the way to Gadhrola to take part in a pre-wedding ceremony when their tractor-trolley turned turtle as its driver lost control over the vehicle. Pali police station in-charge, Rakesh Vaish was quoted saying, "One man died in the mishap, which also left 17 others injured”.
