Mumbai, April 3: In a bid to clear the extra rush during the holiday season, the Indian Railways has announced special trains this summer season. The list of trains have been announced by the Western Railway and Central Railway to facilitate hassle-free trips for travellers. Indian Railways has more than 8500 stations across the nation and it has always been the endeavour of the Railways to provide adequate amenities to the passengers at the stations.

Western Railway Announces 19 Special Trains

The Western Railway announced that 19 special trains will do 390 trips to deal with the rush during summer holidays. These special trains will run o­n special fare. The Western Railway had already announced 344 services of 16 summer special trains from Mumbai, Udhna, Ahmedabad, Gandhidham & Indore to places including New Delhi, Jammu Tawi, Jaipur, Ajmer,  Gorakhpur, Patna, Amritsar, Chhapra, Agra & Mangalore. In addition to these trains, Western Railway has now planned 46 services of 3 more Summer Special trains from Mumbai to Lucknow & Ghazipur City.

Here's The List of Special Trains Announced by Western Railway:

82907/82908 Mumbai Central-Lucknow Jn Weekly Superfast Suvidha Special Train (16 trips)

Train No. 82907 Mumbai Central - Lucknow (weekly) Superfast Suvidha Special train will leave Mumbai Central o­n every Thursday at 19.35 hrs and will reach Lucknow at 20.40 hrs the next day. This train will run from 11 April to 30th May 2019.

Similarly, in return direction Train No. 82908 Lucknow - Mumbai Central (weekly) Superfast Suvidha Special train will leave Lucknow every Friday at 22.35 hrs to reach Mumbai Central at 23.00 hrs the next day. This train will run from 12thApril to 31st May 2019.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Second class sleeper and second-class general coaches. The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Ujjain, St Hardaram Nagar, Bina, Jhansi, Orai and Kanpur Central stations in both directions.

09013/09014 Mumbai Central-Lucknow Jn Weekly Superfast Special Train o­n Special Fare (8 trips)

Train No. 09013 Mumbai Central - Lucknow (weekly) Superfast Special train will leave Mumbai Central o­n every Thursday at 19.35 hrs and will reach Lucknow at 20.40 hrs the next day. This train will run from 6th to 27th June,2019.

Similarly, in return direction Train No. 09014 Lucknow - Mumbai Central (weekly) Superfast Special train will leave Lucknow every Friday at 22.35 hrs to reach Mumbai Central at 23.00 hrs the next day. This train will run from 7th to 28th June,2019.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Second class sleeper and second-class general coaches. The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Ujjain, St Hardaram Nagar, Bina, Jhansi, Orai and Kanpur Central stations in both directions. Indian Railways Ends Flexi Fare Scheme For Premium Trains. 

Train No. 09025/09026 Bandra (T) – Ghazipur City Special Train o­n Special Fare (22 Trips)

Train No. 09025 Bandra (T) – Ghazipur City Special Train will depart from Bandra Terminus at 23.25 hrs every Monday and reach Ghazipur City at 10.30 hrs o­n Wednesday. This train will run from 15th April, 2018 to 24th June, 2019.

Similarly, in return direction, Train No.09026 Ghazipur City– Bandra (T) Express will depart from Ghazipur City at 19.30 hrs every Wednesday and arrive Bandra (T) at 07.50 hrs o­n Friday. This train will run from 17th April 2018 to 26th June, 2019.

The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ratlam,Shamgarh, Ramganj Mandi, Kota Jn.  Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Shri Mahabirji, Hindaun City, Bayana Jn, Agra Cantt, Shamshabad Town, Etawah, Kanpur Central, Allahabad Jn, Janghai Jn, Mariahu, Jaunpur Jn, Dobhi and Aunrihar Jn in both directions. Rajdhani Express to Run at 160 kmph on All Routes, Indian Railways Conducts Successful Trials With WAP-5 Engine.

IMP Note:

  1. The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second-class coaches.
  2. The booking for Train No. 82907, 09013 & 09025 will be opened from 2nd April 2019 with Advance Reservation Period of 120 days at all PRS counters and IRCTC website.

Similarly, the Central Railway has also announced several special trains to clear extra rush during the summer season this year.

Trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus / Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Varanasi / Barauni / Nagpur: 96 Additional Summer Special Trains by Central Railway; The details are as under:

1) Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Barauni weekly specials (26 trips)

Train No. 01133 weekly special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 05.10 hrs o­n every Thursday from 11.4.2019 to 4.7.2019 (13 trips) and will arrive Barauni at 18.00 hrs next day.

Train No. 02062 weekly superfast special will leave Barauni at 21.10 hrs o­n every Friday from 12.4.2019 to 5.7.2019 (13 trips) and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 05.45 hrs o­n third day.

Halts:  Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad Chheoki Jn, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhaya Jn., Buxar, Ara, Patliputra and Hajipur

Composition: 13 AC-3 Tier coaches

2) Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Varanasi weekly Suvidha specials (22 trips)

Train No. 82101 weekly Suvidha special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 00.45 hrs o­n every Monday (Midnight of Sunday/Monday) from 8.4.2019 to 1.7.2019 (Except 06.5.2019 & 10.06.2019) (11 trips) and will arrive Varanasi at 05.40 hrs next day.

Train No. 82102 weekly Suvidha special will leave Varanasi at 08.00 hrs o­n every Tuesday from 09.4.2019 to 02.7.2019 (Except 07.5.2019 & 11.06.2019) (11 trips) and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.15 hrs next day.

Halts:  Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur and Allahabad Chheoki Jn.

3) Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Nagpur Weekly Specials (24 trips)

Train No. 02021 Superfast weekly special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 00.20 hrs o­n every Sunday (Midnight of Saturday/Sunday) from 14.4.2019 to 30.6.2019 (12 trips) and will arrive Nagpur at 14.30 hrs same day.

Train No. 01074 weekly special will leave Nagpur at 16.00 hrs o­n every Sunday from 14.4.2019 to 30.6.2019 (12 trips) and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 08.20 hrs next day.

Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Chandur, Dhamangaon and Wardha.

Composition: 12 Sleeper Class and 5 General Second Class coaches.

4)Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Nagpur Weekly Specials (24 trips)

Train No. 01075 weekly special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 11.30 hrs o­n every Monday from 15.4.2019 to 1.7.2019 (12 trips) and will arrive Nagpur at 02.45 hrs next day.

Train No. 01076 weekly special will leave Nagpur at 6.50 hrs o­n every Tuesday from 16.4.2019 to 2.7.2019 (12 trips) and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 23.25 hrs same day.

Halts: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon, Pulgaon and Wardha.

Composition: 12 Sleeper Class and 5 General Second Class coaches.

Reservation: Bookings for Summer special trains number 01133, 02021, 01074, 01075, 01076 and Suvidha Special Train No. 82101 on special charges will commence from 30.03.2019 at all PRS locations and on website www.irctc.co.in. Meanwhile, general second-class coaches of 02021/01074 & 01075/01076 will run as unreserved coaches and tickets can be booked through UTS system.

CR to Run 50 More Summer Special Trains Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai – Lucknow and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Gorakhpur.

1) Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai - Lucknow Weekly Specials (26 trips)

Train No. 01019 weekly special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 11.05 hrs o­n every Thursday from 11.4.2019 to 4.7.2019 (13 trips) and will arrive Lucknow at 13.45 hrs next day.

Train No. 02108 Superfast weekly special will leave Lucknow at 15.10 hrs o­n every Friday from 12.4.2019 to 5.7.2019 (13 trips) and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 16.45 hrs next day.

Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Orai and Kanpur

Composition: 12 Sleeper Class and 5 General Second Class coaches.

2) Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Gorakhpur Weekly specials (24 trips)

Train No. 01023 weekly special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 00.45 hrs o­n every Saturday (Friday/Saturday Midnight) from 13.4.2019 to 29.6.2019 (12 trips) and will arrive Gorakhpur at 11.35 hrs next day.

Train No. 01024 weekly special will leave Gorakhpur at 14.00 hrs o­n every Sunday from 14.4.2019 to 30.6.2019 (12 trips) and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 23.55 hrs next day.

Halts:Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad Chheoki Jn., Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau, Belthara Road, Bhatni and Deoria Sadar

Composition: 13 AC-3 Tier coaches

3) Extension of Terminal of Train No. 12167/12168 LTT – Varanasi Superfast Express

Railways have decided to shift/extend the terminal of Train No. 12167/12168 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Varanasi Express from Varanasi to Manduadih from Journey commencing o­n 27.3.2019 in both directions. There will be no change in the existing timings between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Varanasi.

4) Halt at Lucknow for Train No. 01475/01476 Pune-Gorakhpur summer special.

Tr. No. 01475/01476 Pune- Gorakhpur –Pune weekly summer special already announced will halt at Lucknow station also.
