Mumbai, May 31: The Maharashtra Chief Minister(CM) Devendra Fadnavis has undertaken a major reshuffle of Indian Police Service officers (IPS), who are now assigned to new posts across the state. The officers who are transferred and promoted includes Joint Commissioner (economic offence) Ashutosh Dumbare who will now head the crime branch, while in his place Nashik Range Officer Vinoy Chaubey will lead the economic offences wing department. Similarly, famous IPS officer Sanjay Saxena has been promoted to Additional Director General (training) from Joint Commissionerate position.

The following IPS officers have underwent reshuffle and transfer in Maharashtra:

Ms Archana Tyagi IPS (Maharashtra 1993 )- ADG, SRPF

Shri Sanjay Saxena IPS (Maharashtra 1993 )-ADG, Training and Special Forces

Shri Prabhat Kumar IPS (Maharashtra 1993 )-ADG, EOW

Shri Prashant S Burde IPS (Maharashtra 1993 )- IG, Home Guards

Shri KMM Prasanna IPS- IG Nagpur

Shri Sandeep Bishnoi IPS (Maharashtra 1989 )— IG Establishment

Shri Suhas Warke IPS — IG Nanded

Ms Aswathy Dorjee IPS— Director MPA

Dr Cherring Dorjee IPS— Nashik Range IG

Shri Ashutosh Dumbare IPS— Jt CP Crime

Shri Vinay Choubey IPS— Jt CP EOW

Shri Santosh Rastogi IPS— Jt CP Admin

The reshuffling was carried out by CM Fadnavis and was part of the state home department's routine exercise. As part of its major reshuffle and promotion, the state government has created a new post--Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) economic offences wing (EOW) and has appointed senior IPS officer Prabhat Kumar as its first ADGP.
