Indrani Mukherjea Health Update: Is There a Conspiracy Against Prime Accused in Sheena Bora Murder Case?

Mumbai, April 9: Indrani Mukherjea, the prime accused in Sheena Bora murder case was admitted to JJ hospital on Friday in semi-conscious condition. According to provisional medical report doctors suspect an overdose of drugs. Doctors of JJ hospital also demanded police investigation and also questioned the role of jail authorities for giving sleeping pills to Indrani at regular intervals.

According to a report of CNN News18, four constables are put under scanner.  Probe has been ordered in this case. The inquiry is setup under ADG Prisons, Maharashtra.  it is importanmt to note that this not the first time Indrani has been fallen ill in Byculla jail. In 2015, Mukerjea was admitted to the JJ hospital with suspected overdose. She stayed at the hospital for a week for treatment.  In June 2017, Indrani was attacked by jail inmates of Byculla jail.

There are speculations of conspiracy plotted against Indrani. Indrani Mukherjea was also the owner of INX media and former finance minister P K Chidambaram's Son Karthi Chidambaram is the prime accused in the INX media fraud case. Bhartiya Janta Party's Member of Parliament Subramanian Swamy launched a scathing attack against the Chidambarams. In his tweet Swamy indirectly accused PK Chidambaram and His son Karthi Chidambaram of poisoning Indrani. He tweeted, "Indrani, the key witness against Chidambaram and son poisoned in jail. Who is behind it? Attempts to eliminate her?"
