Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Tableau to Participate in Republic Day Parade After 20 Years

The last tableau of the Force was included in the year 1998, in which the ITBP had showcased its world-class mountaineers and world's highest mountains it conquered

New Delhi, January 25: After a gap of 20 years, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) tableau will be a part of the Republic Day Parade 2018. The Tableau will showcase Snow Scooter, apart from high altitude Himalayan borders, snow terrain, achievements in mountaineering, river rafting and adventure sports, latest clothing equipment and many others.

A group of women personnel, deployed at high altitude borders, have also been included to march with the tableau. ITBP force song 'Hum Sarhad Ke Senani' will be played in the background, when the tableau will pass through the saluting dais. ITBP has successfully conducted 208 mountaineering expeditions over the years which is a record.

The last tableau of the Force was included in the year 1998, in which the ITBP had showcased its world-class mountaineers and world's highest mountains it conquered. ITBP, that has been deployed from Karakarom Pass in Jammu and Kashmir to Jechap La in Arunachal Pradesh, guards the Himalayan borders across five states of the nation at treacherous terrains and altitudes ranging from 3K to 19K feet.
