New Delhi, April 21: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a five-day weather warning on Saturday. IMD has forecasted heat waves, thunder storms and dust storms across the country. North-Eastern part of the country is likely to witness thunderstorm and heavy rains, while north and north-western region will witness heat waves. Dust storms are predicted in almost all the regions of the country.
Weather Forcast for April 21: IMD forecasted thunderstorms accompanied with squall and hail in West Bengal and Sikkim, whereas only thunderstorm and squall is predicted in Jharkhand, Mizoram and Tripura. Hail and thunderstorms are likely to hit isolated places of Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Meghalaya, South Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. South Assam and Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to be affected by heavy rains. According to IMD, Uttar Pradesh will witness dustorms and thunderstorms.
West Bengal and Odisha Coast will witness rough sea condition with storm winds blowing across the region at a speed of 40-50 Kph. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea. Based on the forecast generated by Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) moderate to rough sea conditions are very likely to prevail over southern parts of west coast, South Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep area in the morning. Advisory is issued for fishermen of these area.
Weather Forcast for April 21: Isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal likely to witness thunderstorm and squall, whereas gusty winds accompanied with thunderstorms are likely to blow across isolated places of Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, South interior Karnataka and Kerala. Heat wave conditions are very likely in some parts of North Telangana, in one or two pockets over Chattisgarh and Vidharbha. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along West Bengal and Odisha Coasts, while precautionary warning is ossued for fishermen from venturing into the sea along southern parts of west coast, south Tamil Nadu and in Lakshadweep areas
Weather forecast for April 23: Isolated places over coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and north Interior Karnataka are likely to witness thunderstorms along with gusty winds. Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in some parts of north Telangana, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand and in one or two pockets over Chhattisgarh, while severe heat waves are forecasted in Vidharbha. Based on forecast generated by INCOIS, rough to very rough sea conditions are likely to prevail along and off the west coast of Andaman and Nicobar islands, Fishermen are prohibited to venture into the sea in these areas.
Weather forecast for April 24: Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds likely at isolated places over Telangana, while heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Vidharbha and in one or two pockets of Chattisgarh.
Weather forecast for April 24: Heat wave conditions are forecasted in some parts of Vidharbha and over west Rajasthan.
