The remuneration of India Inc’s top 100 senior executives, excluding promoters, saw a sharp increase in the previous financial year too. The financial year 2017 saw the average salary jump by 12.1% to Rs. 9.8 crores.

Well, a recent study by Capitaline says that the average salary of the top senior executives in a company is approximately 243 times higher than the average salary for employees.
While according to the Bloomberg report, it is also suggested that the compensation ratio of the CEO and an average employee in India is the second-highest in the world after the United States. For Indian employees, the median salary was Rs. 5,65,478 while the average salary for an average CEO was Rs. 9.76 crores in the financial year 2017. Comparatively, the average salary of CEO globally was approximately Rs. 23.6 crores in the previous financial year.
