New Delhi, August 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day speech will be streaming live on YouTube and Google on August 15, 2018. The speech at the Red Fort in New Delhi is set to reach the world with Doordarshan having tied up with Google and YouTube. Google had live-streamed US President Donald Trump’s inaugural address in January last year.

PM Modi will deliver his Independence Day address at the Red Fort tomorrow. While the speech will be broadcast live on Doordarshan and All India Radio, people can also watch it online on Google and YouTube.

The Prime Minister had invited suggestions on mygov.in, NaMo app and PMO website. He has received over 30,000 suggestions to choose from. The suggestions include job creation, education, digitisation, reservation, family planning, and healthcare among others.  According to reports, the PMO received over 30,000 suggestions through modes of different media for his Independence Day speech.

Apart from the online suggestions, nearly 2,000 people from rural areas have written letters to PM Modi. “PM Narendra Modi will pick up some of the ideas in his speech on 15th August from the ramparts of the Red Fort”, the appeal for suggestions posted on mygov.in stated.
