Husband Thrashes Wife For Switching Off WiFi Connection in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, March 8: In a shocking incident, a woman was thrashed brutally by her husband allegedly over switching off the WiFi connection. As per reports by NDTV, the woman switched off the WiFi to force him to go to sleep. The incident took place in Somajiguda area of Hyderabad.

While the world celebrates Women’s Day, 30-year old Sultana faced brutal abuse from her husband. Reports state that the victim, Reshma Sultana switched off the connection on Wednesday night after which her husband got angry and punched and thrashed her brutally. Sultana, a mother of three, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital here. She suffered injuries on her chest, face and head.

As per reports, the victim’s mother had lodged a complaint in this matter at a local Police Station. As per reports by the police, the couple had marital disputes. Police informed that counselling is going on before a decision is taken on registering a case and arresting the husband.

In a similar incident, a husband murdered his wife over daily fights in Delhi's Bindapur area earlier this month. Reports state that the husband slit his wife’s throat after getting into an argument with her. The accused identified as Umesh surrendered himself to the police after committing the heinous act. As per reports, 35-year-old Meenakshi was married to Umesh for 10 years.

Umesh used to physically torture his wife on numerous occasions. Reports state that the wife had even lodged police complaints against him several times. However, the police never really took action against UmeshThis was Umesh's second marriage and he has a 15-year-old daughter with his first wife.
