New Delhi, April 10: The stage is all set for polling in 91 Lok Sabha constituencies across 20 states and Union Territories in India. As the election fever has gripped the nation to cast vote for the first of seven-phased polls, voters should know if their name is appearing in the electoral list. Nearly 900 million voters would be exercising their franchise this election season which are slated to begin from April 11. However, individuals won't be able to cast their vote if their name is missing from the Election Commission's voters' list. Here's how you can check in easy steps.

The first phase of elections will be held on April 11. Over 60 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the first phase of polling to be held in 7,233 booths. The first phase kicks off on Thursday and voters from 91 Lok Sabha constituencies of 20 states will select their representative in this phase. Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Phase I: List of States And Constituencies Voting On April 11.

Voters can search for their names in the voter list by two methods- by manually entering all of details or simply by entering your Electoral Photo ID Card (EPIC) number.

Here's How to Search Your Name on the NVSP Website:

  1. Voters have to visit the National Voter Services Portal's (NVSP) Electoral Search page - nvsp.in and electoralsearch.in.

  2. Search for 'Search Your Name in Electoral Roll' which is on the left side of the NVSP page.

  3. On clicking it, the person will be taken to another page which will have a form. Fill all the required details that ask for your name, father or husband's name, age, date of birth, gender, state, district and Assembly/ Parliamentary Constituency.

  4. If you don't know the name of your Assembly/Parliamentary constituency, you can locate for your area in the map which is just at the side.

  5. Enter the Captcha code and then click on 'Search'.

  6. Your name and other details will appear at the bottom of the NVSP website.

Check Your Name on Election Commission of India (ECI)

  1. Visit the official website of Election Commission of India eci.gov.in

  2. Scroll down for 'SEARCH NAME IN VOTER LIST'

  3. Enter all the details that are being asked our details. Then, click on 'search'.

Search Your Name in the Voter List by Using EPIC Number:

It must be noted that the EPIC number is mentioned in bold letters on your voter identity card.

  1. Individuals will have to visit the NVSP Electoral Search page. Search for 'Search Your Name in Electoral Roll' which is on the left side of the NVSP page.

  2. At the top of the page, there will be two options- Search by Details or Search by EPIC No.

  3. Enter your EPIC number and select the state. The key will be in the code mentioned in the image. Then click or tap Search.

If your name is on electoral list, you will be able to see it below the Search button. If nothing appears, your name is not on the voter list.
