Holi Special Trains From Mumbai And Ahmedabad to Bihar: Schedule of Special Trains From Bandra, LTT & Ahmedabad Stations

The Railways have identified at least ten parameters such as timeliness, clean linen, coach interiors, quality of food, hygienic toilets, and security for giving a complete makeover to Express trains.

Mumbai, February 14: With an aim to clear the extra rush in regular trains during forthcoming Holi vacations, the Ministry of Railways has decided to run Holi Special Trains. While the Western Railway has decided to run 2 Holi Special trains to Patna on a special fare, the Central Railway has decided to run 8 Special Trains for Holi Between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus railway station (LTT) and Barauni. This move will ensure hassle-free journey and better convenience to the passengers.

The Indian Railways is leaving no stone unturned to give passengers a better travel experience. The Railways have identified at least ten parameters such as timeliness, clean linen, coach interiors, quality of food, hygienic toilets, and security for giving a complete makeover to Express trains.

Western Railway to run two Holi Special Trains to Patna

09011/09012 Bandra Terminus – Patna (Weekly) Superfast Special Train on Special Fare                                                              

Train No. 09011 Bandra Terminus – Patna (weekly) Special Train will leave Bandra Terminus o­n Tuesday, 27th February 2018 at 15.25 hrs and will reach Patna at 03.00 hrs o­n Thursday, 1st March 2018. Similarly, in return direction Train No. 09012 Patna – Bandra Terminus (weekly) Special Train will leave Patna o­n Saturday, 3rd March 2018 at 23.10 hrs to reach Bandra Terminus at 12.25 hrs o­n Monday, 5th March 2018.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier and Sleeper Class Coaches. The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Godhra, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bayana, Agra Fort, Tundla, Kanpur, Allahabad, Mughalsarai, Buxar, Ara and Danapur stations in both directions.

09421/09422 Ahmedabad – Patna (Weekly) Special Train on Special Fare

Train No. 09421 Ahmedabad – Patna (weekly) Special Train will leave Ahmedabad on Monday, 26th February, 2018 at 23.25 hrs and will reach Patna at 08.45 hrs o­n Wednesday, 28th February, 2018. Similarly, in return direction Train No. 09422 Patna – Ahmedabad (weekly) Special Train will leave Patna o­n Wednesday, 28th February, 2018 at 11.35 hrs to reach Ahmedabad at 19.00 hrs o­n Thursday, 1st March, 2018.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier and Sleeper Class Coaches. The train will halt at Nadiad, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bayana, Aga Fort, Tundla, Kanpur, Allahabad, Mughalsarai, Buxar, Ara and Danapur stations in both directions.

Reservation: It must be noted that booking for Train nos. 09421 and 09011 will be opened from 13th February 2018 at all Passenger Reservation Centres and IRCTC website.

Central Railway to Run 8 Special Trains for Holi Between LTT and Barauni in Bihar

The Central Railways will run 8 weekly special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during Holi Festival. These special trains will run o­n special charges between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Barauni.

The details are as under:

Train No. 05540 Weekly Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 14.20 hrs o­n every Thursday from 8.03.2018 to 29.03.2018 (4 trips) and will reach Barauni at 02.30 hrs third day.

Train No. 05539 Special will leave Barauni at 17.15 hrs o­n every Tuesday from 06.03.2018 & 27.03.2018 (4 trips) and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 04.10 hrs third day.

Halts:Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Cheoki, Varanasi, Ghazipur City, Ballia, Chhapra, Sonpur, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, and Samastipur.

Composition: 2 AC 3 Tier, 10 Sleeper Class & 8 General Second class.

Reservation: Booking for Holi special trains o­n special charges for train no. 05540 leaving LTT will commence from16/02/2018at all PRS centers and o­n website www.irctc.co.in. It must be noted that the general second class coaches of all the Holi Specials will run as unreserved coaches and will be booked through UTS system with normal charges for unreserved accommodation as applicable for superfast Mail/Express trains.
