Chandigarh, May 8: In a shocking incident from Haryana's Yamunanagar district, a three-year-old was allegedly murdered by her aunt in a case of black magic. According to a Times of India report, the accused Narinder Kaur alias Pooja, has confessed to the crime and told police she had been practising ‘black magic’ to get rid of evil spirits haunting her dreams.

She further said that the spirits demanded a child's sacrifice or would haunt her forever and would kill her husband, she claimed. As per reports, the child' father and other family members were sitting in the courtyard, and her mother was in the kitchen. It was then that Pooja entered and stabbed the little child on her neck. On hearing her screams, her family member rushed to find that Pooja was standing there with a knife. The accused tried to evade from the spot; however, she was grabbed and handed over to the police.

On Monday, a case of black magic was reported from Thiruvananthapuram, where small copper plates sealed in a bottle were found buried in the garden of a veteran Congress leader in Kerala. VM Sudheeran has filed a police complaint regarding the matter, as quoted by IANS, he said, "This is the ninth time this has happened. All the things that were recovered have been handed to police. I feel sorry for those behind this as even in modern times; people continue to believe in such things."
