Ghaziabad, April 16: With each passing day, there has been an increase in violence against women and young girls. As there is a nationwide uproar with regards to the Unnao rape and the Kathua rape and murder case, new cases are coming to the front now every day. On Sunday, the nation shook badly once again as nine-year-old girl was allegedly confined in Gujarat's Rajkot for 15 days by a 24-year-old man and raped thrice. A recent case of sexual harassment against a minor has come up from Ghaziabad. According to ANI, a 45-year-old man was arrested for allegedly sexually molesting a 10-year-old girl in Sanjay Nagar area.
According to the recent development in the Kathua rape and murder case, the Supreme Court on Monday sought the Jammu and Kashmir government's response on a plea for transferring the trail of the Kathua rape and murder case to Chandigarh. The court order came on victim father's plea seeking transfer of trial and protection. The rise of such incidents can only make us question the law and order of our nation, which has failed time and again to ensure a safe environment for women.
