Mumbai, August 15: The city is prepping up for Ganeshotsav 2019, and keeping this in mind, the civic authorities have asked the Ganesh Puja pandals to avoid singing and dancing on weak bridges during the immersion procession. According to an article on Times of India, this has been done keeping in mind, the damage to the structural place or collapse that can happen due to dancing. Devotees have been advised to instead cross the bridge swiftly and slowly. The organisers of the Puja mandals met Devendra Fadnavis to discuss on many issues before the ten-day festival begins on September 2.
The CM has assured the organisers he would try to grant a noise deadline extension until 12 am on certain days. Issues related to the security of the devotees and the pandals were also discussed and Fadnavis directed the police to help in every possible way. Reportedly, the government has agreed to extend the noise deadline till 12 am on September 2, 6,7 and 12, which are the main immersion days in the city.
