This significant event will gather member nations of the G20 and the guest countries to have fruitful discussions on various economic reforms. A G20 Leaders’ Declaration will be adopted at the conclusion of the New Delhi Summit, stating leaders’ commitment towards the priorities discussed and agreed upon during the respective ministerial and working group meetings.

Formed in 1999, the G20 comprises twenty major economies, fostering discussions on global economic stability. It provides a platform for industrialised and developing nations to discuss financial matters. Date:

The G20 Summit in New Delhi is set to occur on September 9 and 10, hosted at the 'Bharat Mandapam' within the ITPO Convention Centre, located in Pragati Maidan. Apart from this, the 4th Sherpa Meeting will take place from September 3 to 6. Following that, on September 5 and 6, the Finance Deputies Meeting will be chaired. A crucial Joint Sherpas and Finance Deputies Meeting is set for September 6, 2023

Theme:

The G20 Summit's theme, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" or "One Earth · One Family · One Future," draws inspiration from the renowned ancient Sanskrit text, Maha Upanishad. During the course of its G20 Presidency, India hosted about 200 meetings in 32 different sectors in multiple locations in the country, bolstering India's position in the world economy. India's G-20 Presidency offers a significant chance to fix the persistent issues that have disadvantaged developing nations, particularly in areas like agriculture and food subsidies.

The formidable gathering of G20 countries will be attended by More than 25 world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The other prominent leaders include Argentina's President Alberto Fernandez, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, France's President Emmanuel Macron, Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and President of the European Commission Ursula Von der Leyen.

However, reports said that Chinese President Xi Jinping is anticipated to skip the upcoming G20 leaders' summit in India. Russian President Vladimir Putin is also likely to give G20 Summit in Delhi a miss.
