New Delhi, June 30: Niti Aayog on Friday released the first Delta Ranking of Aspirational Districts on the basis of the healthcare, education, agriculture and other infrastructure development across 108 districts in India. The Dahod district in Gujarat has topped the list of most improved districts in India with a score of 19.8. Among the top 17 districts and three from Andhra Pradesh and two each from Gujarat, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh. Moga of Punjab also ranks among the top 17 districts.
Meanwhile, Kupwara of Jammu and Kashmir has figured in the 'least improved districts' with a score of 0.5. Other districts that figure in the least improved list include Muzaffarpur and Purnia in Bihar and Godda and Bokaro in Jharkhand. Eight districts of Bihar have figured in the 22 least improved districts.

NITI Aayog's first Delta ranking (incremental progress) for the Aspirational Districts was based on self-reported data of districts between March 31, 2018 and May 31, 2018, across five developmental areas of health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development and basic infrastructure.
After several rounds of consultations with various stakeholders, 49 key performance indicators have been chosen to measure progress of the districts.
