Mumbai, Mar 25: At least seven people were injured in a fire which broke out in Chembur on Sunday. The victims were rushed to the nearby Rajwadi Hospital for treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable by the time this report was first published.
The blaze erupted at 1:30 pm in the afternoon in Thakkar Bappa Slum Colony, located in Chembur's Rajiv Gandhi Nagar area. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot shortly after the fire department was alerted.
According to reports, the fire broke out in a commercial structure. The magnitude of the blaze could had turned lethal if the fire would had spread to the cluster of slums located adjacent to the building where the flames erupted.

In a fire reported from Chembur camp region on Wednesday, four of a family were left critically injured. The fire broke out due to a cylinder gas leak, which led to the washing machine's compressor. The victims are still undergoing treatment at the Sion Hospital.
