Aurangabad, Apr 2: A major fire broke out in Aurangabad's Manik Hospital on Monday, pushing the medical authorities into panic as at least 30 patients were being treated in the hospital. At least 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse off the blaze.
The fire brigade officials, along with the police team and local volunteers, successfully evacuated 30 patients from the hospital. The patients were shifted to the nearby Hedgewar hospital.
As per the videos shared on social media, the patients were evacuated from the hospital by volunteers using ladders. The patients who were not in a condition to move were carried out by the volunteers.

No casualties were reported by the time this report was first published.
Although the exact cause of fire could not be determined, reports said preliminary enquiry found short circuit as the reason for the blaze.
