Thane, April 11:  Fire broke out at Thane's Viviana Mall's multiplex earlier this morning.  As per details available, about 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. As per reports, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. The process of cooling is underway.

In the last month, a massive forest fire raged near Ghodbunder Road in Thane. According to a report by TOI, the Thane Fire Brigade sent one fire engine and a rescue van to the spot from Balkum fire station. Fire officials said the fire spread up to Bhayander Pada near Gaimukh Temple on Ghodbunder Road.

In other similar incidents, there were two incidents of forest fire on around 1.5 acres of green cover in Thane's Yeoor forest range in March.  As per TOI reports, the forest department had started taking strict action against miscreants responsible for the blaze. Reports inform that a 25-year-old youth has been arrested for causing the blaze in the forest range after which there was a brief pause in the incidents.
