California, June 16: Facebook is updating its ad policies as part of which, it will stop showing ads for weapons accessories to its users who are under 18 years of age.

These ads will include selling things such as holsters, belt accessories, mounted flashlights. The new policy will go into effect from June 21, Cnet reported.

Facebook's change to its policy comes in light of mass shootings in the past where social media is also held accountable for not doing enough to curb gun violence.
