Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi 2019: List of Mumbai Roads Shut During Mawlid Processions on Prophet Mohammed's Birthday

In view of processions on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi 2019, Mumbai police have shut a number of roads for vehicular movement.

Mumbai, November 10: In view of processions on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi 2019, Mumbai police have shut a number of roads for vehicular movement. In a tweet on Sunday, Mumbai police released a list of roads that will remain closed for vehicular movement for Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi processions. "Dear Mumbaikars, To ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic and safety of pedestrians during the procession of Eid-e-Milad-un- nabi, following roads will be closed for vehicular movement from 10th Nov 2019 at 14:00 hrs. to 11th Nov 2019 till 04:00 hrs," read a tweet by Mumbai police. The tweet carries a list of roads shut during the above mentioned period for Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi processions. Eid-E-Milad-Un-Nabi Mubarak 2019 Wishes: WhatsApp DP, Facebook Images, Greetings And Messages in Urdu And English to Celebrate Prophet Mohammed's Birthday.

Below is the list of roads closed for vehicular movement this evening:

  • Seth Motisha Lane-Parab Chowk to Byculla Police Station.
  • Dr BA Road (Southbound only) from Dadoji Kondev Jn. upto Khada Parsi Jn.
  • Rambhau Bhogale Rd - from Ghodapdeo Chowk to Mustafa Bazar - Dr Maskaranace Rd- Shivdas Chapsi Rd to Parab Chowk upto Hong Kong Bridge.
  • Jinabhai Rathod Rd. from Kakalij Chowk upto Hong Kong Bridge.
  • Balwant Singh Dhodi Rd. from Nesbit Jn to Sake Tax Circle upto Dockyard Rd Jn.
  • Khada Parsi to Sat Rasta circle - JJ Road.
  • 'S' Bridge to Ghodke Chowk, NM Joshi Marg.
  • Byculla station to Kala Pani Jn. (Ganesh Hari Pandukar Marg).
  • Sat Rasta Circle - Nagpada Jn - Doan Tank Jn (Maulana Azad Road).
  • Nagpada Jn to Mumbai Central Jn - Bellasis Rd.
  • JJ Road to Nagpada Jn. Dimtimkar Rd.
  • KK Marg to Tambit Naka Police Chowki, Palace Street.
  • Pila House Jn. to JJ Road Jn. Maulana Shaukat Ali Rd.

A large section of Muslims in India observes Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi or Mawlid to commemorate Prophet Mohammed's birthday. The festival is being celebrated with religious fervour in various parts of the country today. It is celebrated with the offering of prayers by thousands in mosques. Homes and places of worship are decorated with lights.
