Arunachal Pradesh, March 31: Photos and Visuals from Dhola-Sadia Bridge across Lohit river, that connects Assam and Arunachal Pradesh show Major Saurabh Bali talking to ANI saying that , 'The bridge has boosted the logistics capability of Indian army by reducing mobilisation timing by over 6 hours.' The 9.15km bridge is India's longest bridge and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May, 2017.

The Dhola- Sadia bridge is the longest bridge in India and put the Bandra- Worli Sea Link in second place. The bridge is 9.15 km long and is longer than the Bandra-Worli Sea link by 3.5 kilometers. The construction of the bridge started in the year 2011 and was completed within 6 years at the cost of Rs. 950 crores. The bridge helps strengthen India's defence forces in the strategically important Indian-Sino region and has drastically reduced the time taken to travel between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh:

The bridge is designed in a way that it can bear the weight of heavy tanks and  can aid the movement of troops in the Wallong-Kibithu sector that shares border with China. The pictures from the bridge are a reminder that the project is helping the army personnel immensely. The bridge was one of the biggest projects undertaken by the government of India in public-private-partnership agreement.
