Delhi: At Least 26 Trains Cancelled, 32 Delayed Due to Operational Reasons, Low Visibility

The maximum temperature settled at 24.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average.

New Delhi, February 3: At least 26 trains were cancelled, 32 trains were delayed and 5 were rescheduled due to operational reasons and low visibility in the national capital on Saturday. The temperature in Delhi settled at 9.3 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season’s average. The maximum temperature settled at 24.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average.

On Saturday, the Meteorological (MeT) office has forecast clear day with the minimum temperature settling at 8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature would hover around 23 degrees Celsius. Reports state that overcast conditions will prevail on February 5-6, causing a nip in the air.

In the last week, cold conditions continued with poor visibility due to dense fog affecting train services and causing inconvenience to commuters. The minimum temperature dipped to 6.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average for the season, said a MeT department official.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi-NCR is hovering around 168-183. As per ANI reports, the air quality of Dwarka was recorded at AQI 183 while Punjabi Bagh was recorded at AQI 176, both fall in the 'unhealthy category'.
