Mumbai, October 15: The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the CSIR UGC NET Result 2024 today, October 15. In addition to the results, the NTA also released the cut-off marks. Candidates who appeared for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research - University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) can check their results by visiting the official website at csirhrdg.res.in.

It must be noted that the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has released the category-wise result of the CSIR UGC NET Result 2024 for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship/Assistant Professor June 2024 examination. Candidates who appeared for the examination can view their scores and ranks through the PDF file provided on the website. As per the announcement, 1,963 candidates have qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship test under the CSIR JRF scheme under category 1. These candidates are also eligible for Assistant Professor, subject to the minimum eligibility criteria laid down by UGC.

On the other hand, only 11 candidates have qualified for the test for awarding the JRF under the CSIR JRF scheme. However, these candidates are not eligible for Assistant Professor posts. Besides, as many as 1,875 candidates have been shortlisted for the Junior Research Fellowship under the UGC JRF scheme and are eligible for Assistant Professor, too.

Under the 2nd category, 3,172 candidates are eligible for Assistant Professor and admission to PhD. In category 3, 10,969 candidates have become eligible for admission to PhD only. It must be noted that the marks obtained in the June 2024 session of the CSIR UGC NET examination will be valid for one year for PhD admissions. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research also said that the final admission process for PhD programs would consider the CSIR UGC NET score at 70 per cent, with the remaining 30 per cent depending on the performance in interviews or viva voce conducted by the respective institutions. The resulting notice also said that the validity period for the JRF fellowship offer would be announced separately.
