Hyderabad, November 22: Telegu Desam Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is one leader in India who has been disclosing his assents for the last eight years. In a latest, his family assets spiked by over 12.5 crore in a year, informed his son Nara Lokesh declared on Wednesday evening.
According to the analysis by Association for Democratic Reforms, Naidu is the richest Chief Minister in the country, with declared assets of Rs 177 crore in his election affidavit. However, his family assents had jumped by Rs 12.55 crore in just one year of time - from Rs. 69.28 crore to Rs. 81.83 crore. As per the latest data, Lokesh's assets grew from Rs 15.21 crore last year to Rs 21.40 crore now. Surprisingly, Naidu's three-year-old grandson's properties has gone up to Rs 18.71 crore against last year's Rs 11.54 crore.
Earlier, in the election manifesto - when Lokesh contested in the Legislative Council elections - he had declared his assets worth Rs 330 crore. The value is up from less than Rs 15 crore a few months before. Citing the reason for the sudden jump, Lokesh had stated that this happened as his voluntary disclosure was done taking the face value of shares. These shares were acquired by him at then market rates.
However, Naidu's wife Brahmini's assets declined over the one year period. She had an asset of Rs 15.01 crore last year, but now her assets are Rs 7.72 crore.
