‘Chal Bhen***d’ Number Plate Spotted by Mumbai Cop, Biker Nabbed For Violating Traffic Rules

Mumbai, June 22: The Mumbai Police on Thursday apprehended a biker for violating several traffic rules in the city’s Antop Hill area. According to a report by Local Press, the bike which was a yellow Pulsar NS 200 had no registration number but had abusive words on the number plate. Reports inform that when the Police caught him, the rider failed to produce its registration papers.

In wake of the strict traffic rules in Mumbai, the police has seized the bike and are in the process of booking the owner/rider. The report further informed that the rider is connected to a local politician.

Reports inform that when the Police asked him for his license, he had nothing and surprisingly, he was riding without a helmet on the busy streets of Mumbai. The rider was nabbed by the police as the abusive words on the number plate caught the cop’s attention.

According to a recent report, the Mumbai traffic police is planning to implement an "odd-even" style of parking for vehicles in congested market areas, the Bombay High Court was told on Wednesday.  The department has filed an affidavit in the HC on behalf of the Joint Commissioner, Traffic.

According to a report by PTI, the department told a bench of Justices Naresh Patil and GS Kulkarni that to begin with, the odd-even system will be allowed on a pilot basis, for vehicles in the Kalbadevi market area in South Mumbai. Meanwhile, the traders and the public visiting the market will be allowed to "park their vehicles on one side of roads in the Kalbadevi area on an odd and even basis," reads the affidavit signed by Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic.
