Four Indian army personnel lost their lives in fresh case of ceasefire violation by Pakistani army at LoC in Bhimber Gali Sector, Jammu and Kashmir. As per reports Indian troops are retaliating effectively, as heavy shelling is going on in Bhimber Gali Sector of Rajouri, J&K. In a similar instance on February 1, 71 schools were closed due to heavy shelling in Lam area of Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier in the day Pakistan Army initiated "unprovoked and indiscriminate" firing across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch sector, as reported by PTI. A 15-year-old girl was injured in the shelling.
A defence spokesman told the news agency that Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars around 11.10 a.m. The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively. More reports and official statement is still awaited from the Indian army on the fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistani army in Bhimber Gali Sector.
