New Delhi, February 2: Months after the horrific murder of Pradyuman Thakur in Gurgaon's Ryan International School, another similar incident from the national capital surfaced on Friday. As per reports, a group of students allegedly thrashed a class 9 student to death inside a private school's toilet.

Police said that the boy was allegedly found unconscious in his school's premises in northeast Delhi's Karawal Nagar.  “Tusshar (16) was found unconscious by some students in the bathroom and was taken to a hospital. He was later referred to the GTB Hospital where he was declared brought dead”, police said.

As per reports, three people have been detained in connection with the death of the boy at Jeevan Jyoti school in Delhi's Khajuri Khas. According to police, five people including the deceased were seen fighting inside the bathroom in CCTV footage. Ajit K Singla, DCP (northeast) was quoted by ANI saying, “After scanning CCTV footage, we transferred the case registered under Section 304 to 302 (murder). We found that he had a fight with 4 students. He fell down after he received punches during the fight & died later. We have apprehended 3 till now”.

Locals along with the boy's family members staged a protest at the Karawal Nagar Chowk and demanded a probe into the matter. Tusshar is a resident of Karawal Nagar in Delhi.  The boy’s family also alleged that school authorities were trying to shield the students he had a fight with.  Karawal Nagar MLA Kapil Mishra said that he is monitoring the situation and is in touch with the police and hospital authorities.

As per reports by PTI, the school administration claimed that the deceased was suffering from loose motions. The boy’s family alleged that he had a fight with some students and was badly thrashed inside the school’s toilet. As per details by the Police, at no injury marks were found on the boy's body. The medical board will conduct the post-mortem tomorrow, they said.

As per reports, the investigation into the gruesome incident is underway. The police is reported to be questioning his classmates and the students who had found him in an unconscious state in the bathroom.
