BJP MLA Ram Kadam's Controversial & Derogatory 'Abduct' Statement Gets Challenged by a Pune Woman, Watch Video

Mumbai, September 5: There was a huge controversy following Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam saying that he will abduct a girl if a boy likes her. In response to which, a woman from Pune has thrown him an open challenge to “try and touch her”. Kadam had claimed that he had received several calls from youngsters asking for his help after girls declined their advances. “You (youngsters) can meet me for any work. I will help you 100 percent. Come (to me) with your parents. What will I do if parents approve? I will abduct the girl concerned and hand her over to you (for marriage)." These raging statement in Marathi had gone viral on social media.

The woman has said, “Ram Kadam I challenge you. You call me in Mumbai, or I will come to Mumbai. Just try to touch me and then we can see what happens next. Your statement is scandalous. Apart from this, we live in Maharashtra, this Maharashtra belongs to Shivraya. Here a woman is considered to be a goddess. So there is no place in Maharashtra for such a bad statement. We want to verify the matter on which you have spoken. Meet me face to face ... I'm just waiting for your phone call.”

Kadam claimed that his statement had been taken out of context and that he was only suggesting that boys and girls should marry with their parent’s consent. "If there was something objectionable, the journalists there would have heard it. They didn't (report it) because they heard the entire speech and not just watch a short video. Opposition leaders are making a 40-second clip viral on Twitter. That's creating a wrong impression,” Kadam told news agency ANI.
