Benjamin Netanyahu, Baby Moshe Inaugurate 26/11 Memorial in Mumbai

Mumbai, January 18: Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and November 2008 terror attack survivor Moshe Holtzberg on Thursday inaugurated the 26/11 Memorial in Mumbai.  The Israeli premier along with his wife Sara Netanyahu is on a six-day visit to India.  In the first visit by an Israeli Prime Minister to Mumbai, Netanyahu laid a wreath at the memorial for the victims of 26/11 terror attacks and later met Moshe at Nariman House.

To recall, Moshe's father Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and mother Rivka were killed at the Nariman House during the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008.  Netanyahu will then arrive at the Chabad House where Moshe and the Israeli PM are scheduled to inaugurate the 26/11 memorial.

After meeting Moshe, Netanyahu is scheduled to meet around 25 to 30 members of the Jewish community at the Taj hotel. Earlier on Thursday, Netanyahu met top leadership of India Inc for a power breakfast, the first of his numerous assignments for the day in Mumbai. Netanyahu interacted with business leaders at the iconic Taj hotel overlooking the Arabia Sea. This will be followed by his address to the India-Israel Business Summit, also at the same venue.

On his visit to India, Netanyahu is accompanied by a 130-member business delegation representing 102 companies, with a focus on the agriculture, defence and cybersecurity sectors. The Israeli premier will leave for Israel in early hours tomorrow. The visit has seen agreements and comments on innovation, strengthening the start-up innovation system, information technology, defence, electric vehicles and agriculture sectors. According to PTI reports, India has received total FDI of $130 million from Israel during April 2000 to September 2017 period.
