These 15 days include state-wise holidays, national holidays, all Sundays, and the second and fourth Saturdays. The list of bank holidays varies from state to state. While banks will remain shut for business for 15 days in September, activities such as online, mobile, and internet banking will continue to operate normally.

List of Bank Holidays in September 2024:
- September 1: Banks will remain closed across the country as September 1 is a Sunday.
- September 4: Banking services will be affected in Assam due to Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva.
- September 7: On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, banks will remain closed in several states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, and Goa.
- September 8: Banks across the country will remain closed for business due to September 8 being a Sunday.
- September 13: Banking services, except online banking and ATMs, will remain closed in Rajasthan to mark Ramdev Jayanti/ Teja Dashmi.
- September 14: Banks will remain closed in Kerala and Rajasthan for Onam and Karma Puja and across the country on account of the second Saturday of the month.
- September 15: Banks will stay shut nationwide as September 15 is a Sunday.
- September 16: Banks will remain closed in several states for Eid-e Milad, i.e. Birthday of Prophet Mohammad.

- September 23: Banks will remain closed on account of the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji and Heroes’ Martyrdom Day.
