New Delhi, September 30: In the month of October 2019, there will be a number of bank holidays. In the last week of October, banks will remain shut for four consecutive days due to usual and festival-related holidays. Overall, transactions at bank branches across the country won't be possible for at least 10 days in the month of October. The list of bank holidays includes closure on account of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 and Diwali festivities. As mentioned above, in the first week of October, there will be a bank holiday on October 2 on account of Gandhi Jayanti. As usual, banks will remain shut on Sunday, October 6. The next bank holiday falls on October 8 on the occasion of Dussehra. Banks will remain closed on October 12 as it will be the second week of Saturday. Needless to say, no transactions will be done at bank branches on October 13 and October 20. In the last week of the month, banks will be closed for four consecutive days from October 26 to October 29. Banks won't open on October 26, the fourth week of Saturday and October 27, Sunday. There will be bank holidays on October 28 and 29 on account of Diwali and Bhai Duj respectively. The ten bank holidays mentioned above would be observed by all banks across states. However, there will be more bank holidays in some states on account of Navami and other festivities.
