The Reserve Bank of India lists these holidays state-wise on its official website, ensuring that customers are informed in advance. Additionally, it's important to note that banks are closed on all Sundays and on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.

This month, several important Hindu festivals, including Chhath Puja and Diwali, have caused bank closures across the country. As a result, banks are expected to remain closed for a total of 13 days in November. The list includes national holidays along with state-specific festivals and other notable occasions. List of Bank Holidays in October 2024

November 1:  Banks will be closed in Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Manipur for Deepavali, Kut Festival, and Kannada Rajyotsava.

November 2: Banks will be closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh for Diwali (Bali Pratipada), Balipadyami, Laxmi Puja, Govardhan Pooja, and Vikram Samvat New Year.

November 7: Banks will be closed for Chhath (Evening Arghya) in West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

November 8: Banks in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Meghalaya will observe a holiday for Chhath (Morning Arghya) and the Wangala Festival.

November 12: Banks will be closed for Egaas-Bagwaal in Uttarakhand.

November 15: Banks will be closed for Guru Nanak Jayanti, Karthika Purnima, and Rahas Purnima in Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar.

November 18: Banks will be closed in Karnataka for Kanakadasa Jayanti.
