Bandh After-Effect in UP: Schools, Colleges in Agra, Hapur, Ghaziabad and Meerut Closed, Board & University Exams Unaffected

District Magistrate of Meerut had informed that no classes will be held from Class 1 till degree college for a day on Tuesday.

On account of the violent protests by Dalit Groups against the Supreme Court's order over SC/ST Act, schools and colleges except those conducting board examinations will remain shut in parts of Uttar Pradesh, including Agra, Hapur, Ghaziabad and Meerut.

However, board exams of class 10 and 12 along with the university exams will be conducted as scheduled. As per reports, schools and colleges will remain closed on Tuesday. District Magistrate of Meerut had informed that no classes will be held from Class 1 till degree college for a day on Tuesday. Internet will remain suspended in Meerut till 2 pm today, as a precautionary measure, following Bharat Bandh protests.

Several incidents of arson, firing and vandalism were reported from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab, among other states on Monday. There have been several incidents of violence that has erupted across the country, reportedly, ten people and several were left injured as protestors blocked trains, clashed with police and torched private and public properties, during a nationwide bandh.

Several shocking incidents, came to the news yesterday, one of which was, where an old man passed away, on his way to the hospital in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh and in another similar incident, a new born died on the roads of Hajipur, Bihar because his ambulance got stuck in traffic jam.
