It is the season of elections across the nation. Recently, Assam witnessed Panchayat Elections, the results of which was declared on December 12. Reportedly, this year, an estimated 80 per cent of voters exercised their franchise amid tight security in 420 counting halls in 26 districts of the state. 1. Visit the official website of Assam Chief Electoral Office; ceoassam.nic.in, ecigov.in.

2. At the Election Commission of India’s page, ecigov.in, scroll down, to find the link that states—'Search Name in Voter List.’

3. The link will guide you to a new page.

4. Enter your name and other required details and the captcha code correctly. Click submit.

5. You will find the entire voting detail.

6. Check your details and take a print out of the same for future reference.

The voters' list is an essential document for the citizens of India. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Assam will witness a contest on 14 parliamentary constituencies. The last general elections witnessed the BJP winning 7 seats, whereas, the Congress and AIUDF bagging 3 each.
