Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi Congratulates Sahitya Akademi Award Winners Sananta Tanti and Rituraj Basumatary

Guwahati, December 6: Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi on Thursday congratulated Sahitya Akademi award winners Sananta Tanti and Rituraj Basumatary from the state. "The literary feats of Tanti and Basumatary are a testimony to Assam's prolific literary talent and the people of the state are proud of them," the governor said in a statement here.
The awards will boost the morale of young and upcoming poets and writers who will be inspired to contribute their best for the literary enrichment of the state, he added. Mukhi hoped that the two litterateurs would continue their literary pursuits and bring more laurels to the state. Sananta Tanti has been chosen for the award for his poetry collection Kailoir Dinto Amar Hobo and Bodo fiction writer Rituraj Basumatary for his short story collection Dwngse Lama.
