Another Gangrape With Teen, This Time in Noida: 17-Year-Old Raped in Moving Car While Returning Home From School
The police have registered a rape against the three accused, under Section 376 and Sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. The police are in hunt of the three accused.
A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by a group of three people in a moving car in the city of Greater Noida. The Police said that the unfortunate incident took place on April 18.
The police officials have stated that the 17-year-old girl was resident of Greater Noida. While she was returning home after her school, during noon, she was offered a lift by a group of three people. There, the minor girl was subjected to rape, that too in a moving vehicle.
As per a police official, one of the three was a classmate of the victim, whereas another one was a distant relative. The third accused is unidentified as the girl has not been able to identify him. After the girl had failed to return home on time, in the evening, the parents of the girl registered the complaint with the police.
The girl’s parents were worried when her daughter didn’t reach home at her usual time, i.e. 3 pm. Things got worse that she didn’t return from school till late evening. It was then when her parents approached the police station and registered the formal complaint with the police.
In her statement, the girl said that she was coming home on foot as she had missed her school bus that day. On the pretext of giving a lift to her home, she was taken in the vehicle and then the three men raped her after gagging her in the moving vehicle. The girl was found abandoned in a secluded area.
The police later found the girl near an Engineering college in Knowledge Park area. The police officials have registered a rape against the three, under Section 376 (punishment for rape), and sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. The police are in hunt of the three accused.
