Guntur, Andhra Pradesh: According to recent reports, a 9-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 50-year-old man in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur. NDTV report states that the child complained of bleeding and pain the stomach and on being taken to the doctor, it was found that she was sexually assaulted. She had multiple injuries on her body, and after a further probe, she later opened up admitting that she was raped by a neighbour, who is a rickshaw-puller.

The victim had to be immediately operated on because of the grave injuries that were inflicted on her. Post the incident, there were protests, where they demanded the accused to be hanged or shot dead on the spot. The villagers have given the authorities a deadline till 3 pm to arrest the accused.

Earlier in the day, two shameful incidents were reported in Haryana.  According to a recent ANI report, a 19-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by an auto rickshaw driver, and four others near Gurugram's Sohna road. In another similar incident, a 17-year-old committed suicide after she was gang-raped by eight men in Nuh. DSP Virendra Singh says, An FIR has been lodged and an investigation is underway, according to an ANI report.
