Amritsar, April 22: Passengers of an Air India Amritsar-Delhi flight experienced a brush of death on when they unexpectedly ran into severe turbulence mid-air on Thursday. In the terrifying incident, at least three passengers suffered minor injuries. As per reports, the window panel also came off and the oxygen masks were also dropped down for passengers.
The DGCA has already started probing the high-level turbulence incident and has also informed the Aircraft Accident Investigation Board. Reports inform that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner was in a turbulence for at least 15 minutes. The aviation agencies and the airlines are investigating the incident now.

Sources were quoted by news agencies saying that the turbulence on AI 462 was such that the head of a seated passenger hit the overhead cabin because of a bump while the inside of a window panel (18-A) came off. The DGCA, has, however, begun the probe.
The video of the incident shared by ANI show how terrified all the passengers were. As per reports by TI, a senior Air India said that the airline and the DGCA have started probing the incident. The official added that some masks were dropped down during the turbulence phase and an overhead panel of the seat 12U got cracks.
