New Delhi, April 29: An Air India Flight AI-825 Delhi to Srinagar made an emergency landing at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport on Sunday morning. Reports inform that the flight returned to Delhi after developing a technical snag. The incident took place on Sunday morning. As per reports, the flight landed safely.  As per details available, the flight had 180 passengers on board.

On April 7, a similar incident was reported where an Air India flight AI-476 made an emergency landing in Jaipur. Reports inform that the Airbus A321-200 plane from Jodhpur to Delhi had to be diverted after the crew got intimation about a landing gear issue. All 158 passengers onboard were safe.

The airline was in the news after one of its flights experienced severe turbulence mid-air leading to chaos in the aircraft. On April 19, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner (VTANI) witnessed the turbulence for nearly 15 minutes soon after take-off from Amritsar to Delhi. Three passengers sustained minor injuries in the flight.

On Saturday, Air India announced the introduction of a direct flight from Amritsar to Bangkok from May 14, as part of its efforts to increase and augment services on key routes. Days after announcing increasing the frequency of flights from Delhi to Copenhagen and San Francisco, the airline today said the flight from Amritsar to Bangkok would operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
