Coimbatore, February 25:  A couple in Coimbatore has proved that  love is beyond buying each other gifts and materialistic things. A 36 year old man suffering from a liver ailment got the best Valentine’s Gift of his life. Jageer Hussain, who was admitted in GEM Hospital and was, advised liver transplant got a new life after his wife Nisha donated a part of her liver to him on Valentines’ Day.  As per reports by Doctors, the transplantation was successful and the husband and wife are in good condition.

As per report, Nisha, the 34-year-old woman donated part of her liver to her husband who was suffering from liver failure. The woman was operated by the doctors at a private hospial here on February 13 and removed the right part of her liver and transplanted to her husband, Chairman, of the hospital C Palanivelu told reporters.

In another similar incident, a Bengali couple- Subhas and Mithu also shared the same experience. Subhas was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. As per a report by TOI, doctors informed 44-year-old Subhas that only a liver transplant could save his life. His 29-year-old Mithu tried finding a donor but was unsuccessful. She then approached doctors of Kolkata's SSKM Hospital and requested that they take part of her liver instead to save her husband’s life.
