While earlier reports suggested the government would announce the DA hike in early September, it is now anticipated that the announcement will align with the Haryana Assembly elections, scheduled for October 5.

Historically, DA hikes are revealed one to two weeks before Diwali, and this year is expected to follow the same trend. If the DA hike is implemented in October, employees and pensioners will receive a significant boost, benefiting from three months of arrears alongside the increased monthly allowance.
