New Delhi, December 17: The Indian Oil Corporation, the nation's largest public sector oil marketing company, is offering customers upto 71 litres of free petrol or diesel. The bonanza, however, could be claimed only by Citibank's platinum credit card users. Not only the existing card users, but also those who apply for new ones are eligible to claim the free petroleum.

How to claim free petrol or diesel at Indian Oil pumps? For claiming the freebie, one needs to refill using the Citibank credit cards. For each fuel purchase of Rs 150, four turbo points would be credited to your card. As per the agreement reached between Citibank and Indian Oil, the surcharge on payment via credit cards would now be levied. Therefore, one can continue refueling his vehicle with petroleum, virtually shelling out the same amount as one would incur while paying in cash.

As the value of your turbo points grow, keep redeeming it for fuel payments. However, a cap has been imposed. For a one-year period, the credit card holder can purchase a combined amount of 71 litres of fuel using the turbo points.
