Srinagar, June 23: After the crackdown on the Islamic State (ISIS) module in Jammu & Kashmir, with the elimination of its chief Dawood Ahmed Salafi and his three close aides on Friday, the security forces have their targets fixed on eliminating 21 top terrorists who are on the 'hit list'.
Out of these 21 terrorists, 6 are listed in the 'A++ category', which signals their impact, scale of operation, propaganda impact and longevity to have crossed the danger-level. The A++ tagged terrorists also carry a reward of Rs 12 lakh. With their neutralisation, a security establishment source told TOI, the militant cadres in the Valley will be thrown into disarray.
Who Are the 21 Top Terrorists on the 'Hit-List' of Forces?
Out of the 21 terrorists under radar, the maximum, 11, are from the indigenous Hizbul Mujahideen, seven from cross-border Lashkar-e-Taiba, two from Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and one from Ansar Ghazwa Tul-Hind (AGH).

The lone AGH commander on the list is Zakir Rashid Bhat, who is active in Tral region.
Earlier in the week, the civilian government in Jammu & Kashmir fall down after the BJP, which was the ruling coalition partner, retracted support extended to Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP.
After the state government went down, BJP spokespersons said the Centre would be pursuing a hard-line approach towards countering the insurgency in the Valley. Ousted Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was quick to condemn, saying the "muscular approach" would further destabilise the Valley.
