Mumbai, December 30: The Central Railway (CR) will run four suburban special trains during the New Year Eve this year to clear extra rush of passengers. The Railways said that the four suburban special trains will be run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai - Kalyan and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai - Panvel on January 1, 2020. The New Year revellers must note that the trains will run after the midnight of December 31, 2019.

Main Line Specials:

The Kalyan special local will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai at 1.30 am and arrive Kalyan at 3 am. The CSMT special train will leave Kalyan at 1.30 am and arrive CSMT Mumbai at 3 am.

Harbour Line Specials:

The Panvel special local will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 1.30 am and arrive Panvel at 2.50 am. Meanwhile, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai Special will leave Panvel at 1.30 am and arrive CSMT Mumbai at 2.50 am. Indian Railways Recruits 10,500 RPF Jawans in its Biggest Recruitment Drive Ever.

Earlier this month, there were reports that commuters travelling on the Central Railway will get its first air-conditioned (AC) local train from December-end or early January 2020. According to reports, the CR got its first AC local train, made in Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Chennai, which was delivered on December 7.
