Mumbai, Mar 10: An Indian Coast Guard helicopter crashed in Maharashtra's Raigad district on Saturday. The accident reportedly occurred when the chopper was landing in Nandgaon village near Murud region. All four crew members onboard were reported safe. A female pilot, however, sustained injuries.
As per the statement issued by the Indian Coast Guard, the helicopter made a "hard landing" 160 kms south of Mumbai at 02:40 pm.

The coastguard helicopter crash comes nearly two months after a Pawan hans chopper of state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) crashed off the coast of Mumbai, leading to the death of all seven onboard.
Following the crash, the ONGC employees demanded a safety evaluation of all helicopters currently in use. "Last year, an audit carried out by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) at Pawan Hans, Andaman and Nicobar base showed several engineering and maintenance deficiencies," said the statement issued by Petroleum Employees Union.
