“People even make mistakes in pronunciations. Hence, we shall distribute the lyrics of the national anthem in both Kannada and English," Gowda was quoted as saying. According to V Lokesh Gowda, president of Rashtrageete Jagruti Abhiyana Samiti, a specially designed National Anthem Rath will also ply on the city roads to spread awareness.

The rath will lead a massive procession of folk artists and volunteers will also perform when the chariot passes through lanes in T Dasarahalli Assembly constituency in Bengaluru. Noted musician Hamsalekha will participate in the campaign and hoist the tricolour on the Independence Day. The rath will stop at around 72 junctions.
